Covid19 Public Safety Plan for The Rabbits Riot Theatre Company

All health and safety Covid19 measures to be implemented at every rehearsal, workshop, performance or gathering of any kind within, in relation to or in collaboration with the Rabbits Riot Theatre Company.
The Rabbits Riot Theatre Company will adhere to Government Public Safety Guidelines at all times.
This policy is available on our website and on all booking platforms. All cast and crew members will be asked to sign a read copy of the policy before attending any events or gatherings under the Rabbits Riot Theatre Company.
The policy has been put in place to protect all cast, crew and audience member associated with a Rabbits Riot production.

Audience Member Safety

All tickets must be booked in advance.
All audience members are required to wear a mask at all times, from arrival at the performance to their departure. The mask must cover their nose and their mouth, per HSE guidelines.
If, for any medical reason, an audience member is unable to wear a mask, we require advance notice to ensure extra safe distance can be provided for along with reasonable proof that they cannot wear one for the duration of the performance.
Audience members will be informed of all safety measures prior to booking (on booking pages and on all social media platforms) and after booking with follow up contact to ensure they are aware of safety protocol. They will be reminded of safety protocols before the performance as well. We will have disposable masks available for any audience member who does not have a mask. Should any audience member refuse to wear a mask for any illegitimate reason, they will not be permitted attend the event.
Hand sanitiser will be available at all performances.
On arrival all audience must check in with our ‘box office’ team member, giving name and contact for track and trace as well as showing proof of booking, before being assigned a socially distance place to stand or sit. Safe distancing will be clearly laid out for audience members and we will have team members ensuring the measures are followed.
Before booking information is made available, we will determine the number of available tickets by measuring out how many audience members we can safely accommodate in any given space. This will also be determined by the Government Guidelines for Public Safety at the time of tickets being made available.
In the event that the guidelines are changed prior to the event we will follow the new guidelines and inform audience members of any changes.
The audience will be placed at a safe distance from the performer to maintain social distancing measures between actors and audience.
We will request that any person with a high temperature, a cough, or any flu symptoms to not attend the event. We will be able to refund tickets up to 24 hours before the performance and will be transferable (if someone is unable to attend, they will be able to pass their ticket to a friend or family member).

Cast Safety

We will hold as many rehearsals as possible online, subject to the team’s ability to access sufficient internet and equipment before we have any in person rehearsals. All rehearsals will be carried out at a social distance. The crew (team members not performing) will always be kept separate to the cast (performers).
To protect the cast, all crew will be wearing face coverings and cast members will wear face coverings where possible. Hand sanitizers will be available at all meetups and disposable masks will be available to all who need them.
All cast and crew will be expected to follow government Public Safety guidelines in their personal lives while working with the production, any unnecessary breach of these guidelines will result in the cast or crew member being removed from the project to protect the rest of the team as well as audience members. All cast and crew will be made aware of and agree to this before agreeing to be involved in the production.
If at any time, a team member becomes ill with any symptoms we will ask all members to self-isolate and continue to work from home if possible. In these circumstances we may also find ourselves in a position to postpone the production until it is safe to continue or find a replacement team member if postponing is not possible due to external circumstances.
We will request that any person with a high temperature, a cough, or any flu symptoms to not attend any rehearsal, event or gathering.

Crew Safety

The crew, any non-performing team members, will always be kept at a safe distance from all cast members.
A crew member will be assigned the role of Covid Officer for all productions, to keep a track and trace record of who is in attendance of gatherings at any given time. They will also ensure that all public safety protocols are always being followed.
All crew will wear face coverings at all times.
Any costumes and props will be organised in advance and will be kept in the care of the actor until postproduction when it will be returned to the Rabbits Riots for a thorough clean. Actors will be encouraged to use their own items for costumes and props, but we are aware that this is not always possible.
If at any time, a team member becomes ill with any symptoms we will ask all members to self-isolate and continue to work from home if possible. In these circumstances we may also find ourselves in a position to postpone the production until it is safe to do so or find a replacement team member if postponing is not possible.
The number of crew members and cast at any live performance location will be considered when calculating the number of audience tickets being made available, to stay within government guidelines regarding numbers and safety.

Covid Officer

We will have a Covid Officer assigned to each project. This will involve keeping a record of every person who is at any meet up or gathering, including cast, crew and audience. They will ensure that social distance protocols are being followed at all times and face coverings are being worn while also keeping disposable face masks and hand sanitiser readily available. The Covid Officer will be at every rehearsal, performance, event or gathering of any kind to ensure all protocols are being followed. This will include working the with ticket booking to ensure all audience members are pre booked, wearing masks and following healthy and safety measures.
